Two situations in which you should use a coin laundry instead of getting a washing machine

There are many instances in which it could be better to use a coin laundry instead of purchasing a washing machine for your home. Here are some of those situations.

You are living on a small income

If you don't earn much, then using a coin laundromat could be the best way to wash and dry your clothes, particularly if you have one of these facilities near your home and don't, therefore, have to spend much on travel to get to it. The reasons for this are as follows; it would allow you to avoid the substantial upfront costs of purchasing a washing machine and a clothes dryer and paying to have the former plumbed in. Furthermore, if you don't have these appliances in your home, your electricity bills will be a lot smaller and you won't have to face the occasional, hefty costs of paying to get them repaired.

Additionally, because the washing machines in coin laundries have very large drums (which are much bigger than those found in domestic washing machines), you can wash more clothing in a single cycle. As such, whilst if you had your own washing machine, you might have to do, for example, four loads to get all of your clothes washed, you may only need to pay for one or two washing cycles at this facility each week, which would be very affordable.

You have a lot of clothes and have moved into a very small apartment

If you have moved into a very small apartment, then it would probably be best to use a coin laundry instead of getting a washing machine. The reason for this is as follows; even the most compact version of this appliance will take up lots of space. If you are already struggling to come up with creative ways to store your belongings in the apartment, then adding this bulky contraption to your space will make things even harder.

Furthermore, if you don't have room for a clothes dryer as well, and you have a lot of clothes that you need to wash each week, you will end up draping your wet garments over every surface in your tiny apartment. Aside from making it look terrible, this could trigger mould growth and make the apartment extremely humid. If however, you use a coin laundromat, you can put some belongings in the space you would have used for the washing machine, and you can wash and dry your clothes at the laundromat, meaning that they can go straight into your wardrobe when you come home.

If you have additional questions, reach out to a local laundromat.
